Duotone STASH – Next-Generation Parawing for True Foiling
Duotone STASH is the new parawing engineered to redefine the free foiling and downwind experience.
Its innovative single-skin design with double-layer tips delivers stable flight, intuitive depower, and an extended wind range, allowing you to glide for miles with a pure, uninterrupted foiling sensation.
Developed by wing and kite designer Ken Winner in close collaboration with downwind experts Finn and Jeffrey Spencer, the STASH is built not only to get you up on foil, but to overcome the specific challenges of parawinging and make free flight more accessible and efficient.
Performance
- Optimized single-skin design – Generates more lift and power per size.
- Double-layer tips – Progressive depower and enhanced flight stability.
- Extended wind range – Efficient performance across a wide range of angles and conditions.
- Ultra-light 30g ripstop canopy – Earlier takeoff, better gust absorption, and longer time in the air.
- Optimized control lines – Reduced diameter to minimize drag and overall weight.
Design & Functionality
- Compact and easy to pack – Designed for maximum packability during long downwind runs.
- Stabilized leading edge – Improved in-flight stability and reduced drag.
- Color-coded system – Simplifies relaunch and water orientation.
- Ergonomic carbon control bar – Intuitive and precise steering control.
The STASH combines power, stability, and simplicity in a system built to maximize the pure feeling of True Foiling.
Single-Skin vs Double-Skin
- Single-skin generates more lift and power for the same wing size.
- Double-skin provides greater in-flight stability, especially at higher angles.
- Single-skin packs down smaller.
- Single-skin requires no drainage.
- Single-skin with double-layer tips drains significantly faster after a water landing than a full double-skin design.
- Single-skin with double-layer tips offers improved depower stability compared to a full single-skin design.
Recommended Board and Foil Setup
Parawinging requires more balance than traditional wing foiling. We recommend using a higher-volume board, especially for your first sessions.
To make takeoff and pumping easier, we suggest larger Glide foils similar to those used in SUP downwind foiling. A Skybrid board combined with the appropriate Glide size for your weight creates an ideal setup.
